The most famous of Saint Emilion's wines, the Grand Château Cheval Blanc retains its title of Premier Grand Cru Classé A since 1954.
Since 1998, Bernard Arnault and LVMH, owners of renowned brands such as Dior, Krug, Moët and Chandon, Vuitton and Yquem, have propelled Cheval Blanc even higher by bringing it to the table of the world's most influential men and women. Today, Cheval Blanc is at the top of its reputation and talent. It is definitely a legend of Saint Emilion.


Château Cheval Blanc 2000 is a blend of two grape varieties: 53% Merlot and 47% Cabernet Franc.
It presents itself in a magnificent dark red colour, showing a very slight evolution. On the nose, Cheval Blanc 2000 offers an intense bouquet of black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, wrapped in richer flavours of truffles and mocha. After a few minutes in the glass, the aeration reveals complex notes of licorice, menthol and leather.
On the palate, Château Cheval Blanc 2000 is opulent and full-bodied, very slightly acidic but of unequalled purity. The tannins are soft and combine perfectly with fruity flavours and roasted notes.
The final is masterful and lasts more than 60 seconds.

The 2000 vintage is reputed to be a great vintage, but once again, Cheval Blanc has not only produced a good wine, it has produced a Cheval Blanc 2000 which can be considered one of the best wines of the century!
