About Château Carbonnieux 1986
Bottle (75cl)

Great Growth of the Graves, Château Carbonnieux is a wine from the Pessac Léognan appellation made from a blend of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot.

Dressed in a garnet robe, still intense after 30 years in the bottle, and slightly brown on the edges, Château Carbonnieux 1986 distils a fruity and elegant bouquet of cherries and undergrowth.
On the palate, it offers a fleshy body, full of wild berries (blueberries and cherries) wrapped in woody notes of new oak and accented with hints of mushrooms. It is a silky wine with ripe tannins, perfectly balanced by the acidity of the fruit from the attack to the finish with an astonishing length.
